I am now an Adobe Flex Developer Community Champion!!
A surprise delivery arrived the other day. A small square box with an unknown senders address on it. I placed the box on the kitchen counter, grabbed the heavy duty shears and quickly popped it open. The first thing I saw was a Programming Flex 2 book. I wasn’t sure what was going on at this point because I already own a copy of this book. The next thing I found in the box was a card stating: “Welcome to the Adobe Flex Developer Community Champion Team!”. At this point I started getting pretty hyped. Then I found the gold medal you see the photo. There were a few other really cool items in the box but I don’t want to spoil anything for the new/future Flex Champ team members.
Many, many, many thanks to Suzanne Nguyen and Adobe for your time and consideration. It is really a great honor to join the team.
For anyone not familiar with the Flex Developer Community Champion program: “Community champions receive community recognition, access to Flex product pre-release information, speaking opportunities in some Adobe sponsored events, access to Adobe resources (i.e., presentation slides, champion web portal, champion forums, etc.) and some funding available for approved events”. If you are a passionate, experienced Flex developer and have the expertise to help other Flex developers you should consider joining the the Flex Developer Community Champion program. You can also listen to Kevin Hoyt’s podcast interview with Suzanne Nguyen about this program (mp3).
Thanks again Suzanne and Adobe. It is a great honor to be part of the Adobe Flex Developer Community Champion Team.
Because I already own a copy of Programming Flex 2 I will be giving this extra copy away. This is an AWESOME book which I highly recommend. I read this book cover-to-cover and I believe it helped me pass the Flex Developer Certification.
The first person who emails me with the correct answer to the following question wins the book. Two additional book giveaways are to follow so check back often. Please include your shipping address in your email.
