A small square box with an unknown senders address on it. I placed the box on the kitchen counter, grabbed the heavy duty shears and quickly popped it open. The first thing I saw was a Programming Flex 2 book. I wasn’t sure what was going on at this point because I already own a copy of this book. The next thing I found in the box was a card stating: “Welcome to the Adobe Flex Developer Community Champion Team!”. At this point I started getting pretty hyped. Then I found the gold medal you see the photo. There were a few other really cool items in the box but I don’t want to spoil anything for the new/future Flex Champ team members.

Flex Developer Community Champion MedalFor anyone not familiar with the Flex Developer Community Champion program: “Community champions receive community recognition, access to Flex product pre-release information, speaking opportunities in some Adobe sponsored events, access to Adobe resources (i.e., presentation slides, champion web portal, champion forums, etc.) and some funding available for approved events”.
